Medlock Ames is  a stunning century-old winery in California.
The new owners commissioned SF architects Wade design, interior designers Wick Design and NY based landscape architects Nelson Byrd Wolz to bring a cohesive feel to their winery and general store.
The muted, natural pallet has such a comfortable, homely feel,  with just the right amount of industrial edge. The landscaping has structure but a softness that blends effortlessly with the surroundings. Good design always looks so effortless, and that's before a glass of wine!

I had a  lovely audience at my presentation 'Finding your Interior design style, " at The Kennels Club in West Sussex.
It was a relaxed, informal morning, with slide show and some interactive interludes.Just  fascinating watching everyone choose the fabrics that caught their eye, and how similar their choices were to what they were wearing!
Looking forward to my next talk in November, ' Designing a room from scratch.'
If you are interested in attending any of the future  events at The Kennels, have a look at their website for the full Events Diary.
